About the Author

Kylie Minton is a storyteller above all. Growing up, she loved dreaming up new twists and turns for classic stories and fairytales, and her love for telling stories has served her well. She currently works in the software industry, where effective storytelling with data is paramount to success. With a bit of planning and a lot of curiosity, everything from a dashboard to drive results to a fantasy world can become a captivating narrative.

Her love for worldbuilding and creating immersive fantasy realms began in high school, where she first started imagining exciting new lands, their diverse cultures, and their rich histories. This passion for immersive worlds and multifaceted characters continues to shape her writing.

Her stories blend elements of mystery, romance, and darker themes, with a focus on characters who defy traditional hero and villain stereotypes. Instead, she creates protagonists and antagonists who are complex, flawed, and relatable, offering a more nuanced approach to the roles of good and evil.

When writing, Kylie strives to write around 2,500 words per session, but only after thoroughly working through every detail—yes, even down to the weather or what the characters might eat for dinner. (It’s important to know if they prefer a nice steak or a hearty stew, right?) Once the first draft of a chapter is complete, she refines it before moving on to the next.

In addition to writing, Kylie holds a degree in Computer Science. While her career in technology is fulfilling, writing has become an essential part of her life, allowing her to create stories that transport readers to new and unforgettable worlds.
